All four divisions will start over the first weekend in August and, for the third season running, there will be no winter break for the top flight. The Championship's regular season will conclude on Friday, 30 April 2027, with Leagues 1 and 2 ending the following day. The Premier Sports Cup first-round group stage will take place from 11-26 July 2026, with the final scheduled for 13 December 2026. A spokesperson for the SPFL said: "The new Fifa calendar comes into effect next season and the amalgamation of the September/October international windows means there will be no William Hill Premiership matches scheduled for the weekends of 26/27 September and 3/4 October.
