6 injured as small plane crashes in Odisha during emergency landing, probe ordered

• The plane operated by IndiaOne Air made a forced landing around 15-20 km short of Rourkela airport, averting a major tragedy. The aircraft, a Cessna Grand Caravan 208B bearing registration VT-KSS, was operating flight IOA102 from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela.

• The aircraft subsequently made a forced landing at around 1.20 pm in an open area near Jalda/Kansor, approximately 15-20 km short of Rourkela airport.
• FORCED LANDING SAVES LIVESOfficials said the pilots executed a controlled forced landing, which helped prevent any loss of life.
• The district administration reached the site soon after receiving information and shifted all injured persons to medical facilities in Rourkela. As per official details, three passengers are undergoing treatment at JP Hospital, while two pilots and one passenger are being treated at Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH).
