It was not a "Black Monday" move when most firings happen, but earlier this week the Miami Dolphins (7-10) have decided to dismiss head coach Mike McDaniel after four seasons according to Dolphins Wire. AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementUnder his watch, McDaniel led the Dolphins to a 35-33 overall regular season record:McDaniel, 42, led the Dolphins to back-to-back playoff appearances in his first two seasons with the team. However, the Dolphins missed the playoffs in the last two seasons, finishing just below .500 with 8-9 and 7-10 records, respectively. In moving on from McDaniel, it appears the Dolphins will look toward a rebuild. It remains to be seen what happens with the likes of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, wide receiver Tyreek Hill, and other veterans still in Miami.
