This Memorandum of Understanding aims to promote cooperation between the eight Army Base Workshops and the fourteen Corps Zone Workshops which are under the technical control of the DG EME with the thirty-three Technology Centres functioning under the Ministry of MSME, a statement from the Army spokesperson read. The objective of the Memorandum of Understanding is to promote cooperation in the field of manufacturing and training providing sustainable and adaptable technical solutions for problem statements at each other’s establishments including frontier technologies like Advanced Multi-Axis Machining, Additive manufacturing (3D Printing), Drone Technology, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Digital Twins for training and simulation, Cloud Computing and 5G for data analysis etc by leveraging upon the strength and expertise of respective institutes and workshops.
