The Lady Bears (11-5, 3-0) took the court first, at noon, and scratched and clawed their way to a 63-47 victory over the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. While the 16 point difference makes it look like it was a one-sided contest, the first half score was only a three point spread, 32-29, in favor of the Gamecocks. Jax State only managed to score 15 points over the final 20 minutes, while MO State poured in 34 to pull away. Bekemeier scored 19 of her 31 points in the first half, which made a sincere difference in keeping MSU at just a three point deficit.
