The BJP’s allegation followed a special discussion in the Assembly on a three-day event organised by the Delhi government last November to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Rejecting the charge, Atishi accused the BJP of indulging in petty politics by dragging the Guru’s name into an unrelated debate.
• In a video statement, she claimed she was speaking about the BJP avoiding a discussion on pollution and protesting over the issue of stray dogs in the Assembly. She alleged that the BJP deliberately inserted a false subtitle into the video and added the Guru’s name to mislead the public.
