His commute to play hockey was significantly reduced."After my homecoming game for football, I got a message from my sports administrator saying that Willmar just co-opted with MACCRAY," said Grimsley, who was the quarterback on the Wolverines' football team. AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement"I just got in that mindset of playing hockey again for my senior year, so it was really fun."It's been a successful move for Grimsley, who has found a spot as a wing on Willmar's top scoring line.

His junior season with the Tigers, Grimsley scored five goals and had 11 assists in 25 games."It definitely feels like he's acclimated himself," said Shawn Bakke, who is in his first year as Willmar's head coach.
