On Friday night, the Bulldogs’ lead man continued his undefeated streak when it comes to coaching in the big game. With Carthage’s 49-21 victory over West Orange-Stark at AT&T Stadium in Arlington for the UIL Class 4A, Division II state championship, Surratt improved to 11-0 all-time in Texas high school football title games. With the victory for the Bulldogs, Surratt and Carthage cap what has been a magical season at 16-0 and finishing with a dominating win over West Orange-Stark. Also with the victory for Surratt, it was his 250th career coaching win.
