RJ Godfrey tried to put the team on his back all night long with a career high 22 points to go with 9 rebounds a couple of blocks and winning a couple of scraps for loose balls. Carter Welling finally found his stroke from 3 point land in the second half to finish with 13 points but the Tigers guards struggled mightily to do their part, especially Dillon Hunter who finished just 1-9 from the floor along with two very costly turnovers that led directly to UNC scores, the first ending a Clemson run and sparking a 12-0 Tarheel run.
