New Delhi, Mar 2 (UNI) During February, captive and commercial coal mines recorded coal production of 20.40 million tonnes (MT), while dispatches reached 17.72 MT, an official statement said here on Monday. Coal production witnessed a year-on-year (Y-o-Y) growth of 18.51 per crny which reflected strong operational momentum and progressive scaling up of mining activities. For FY 2025-26 up to Feb, cumulative coal production from these mines registered a Y-o-Y growth of 11.58 per cent, while cumulative dispatches recorded a 6.78 per cent increase over the corresponding period last year, the Coal ministry release said.
