Key Highlights
- As part of Operation Smile-XII, the Cyberabad Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) registered 49 cases under the Juvenile Justice Act across the commissionerate limits and rescued 215 children, including 200 boys and 15 girls.
- Efforts were also made to reunite 31 families involved in marital disputes through family counselling centres and Centre for Development and Empowerment of Women (CDEW).
- Police said extensive preventive and awareness programmes were conducted by the AHTU and She Teams across Cyberabad, with around 6,615 participants.
- The sessions focused on issues such as human and child trafficking, eve-teasing, social media harassment, child marriages, child labour, stalking, cyberbullying and cyber frauds, along with information on emergency helplines and police response systems.
