Hughes was placed on long-term IR on Wednesday with a dislocated shoulder suffered during Monday's game. The 22-year-old appeared to suffer the injury when Calgary forward Justin Kirkland tugged on his jersey while chasing a puck out of the zone, causing Hughes to pull up in pain and go straight to the bench. Now, he'll have to be sidelined for a minimum of 10 games and 24 days. Hughes' absence is certainly a big one for New Jersey, as he's currently averaging just over 23 minutes a night and leads the team on the backend with 26 points in 49 games. In a corresponding move, D Colton White has been recalled from Utica.
