Hyderabad, Mar 3 (UNI) Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL), an agri-machinery and construction equipment major, on Tuesday announced an investment of Rs 2,300 crore in the first phase of its proposed greenfield manufacturing facility at Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. The company’s Board has approved the acquisition of 150 acres of land in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region for setting up the plant, which will be developed with advanced Japanese technology and manufacturing processes, Chairman and Managing Director Nikhil Nanda said on the sidelines of the launch of the Powertrac ‘Shaurya’ South Special paddy tractor series here. He said the upcoming facility will initially manufacture tractors and is expected to expand into harvesters, rice transplanters and engines in subsequent phases.
