Fall Creek’s Martzke to be inducted into WBCA Hall of Fame

• I’ve been around forever and been fortunate to have a lot of good kids playing for me and taking care of me.”Martzke will officially become the ninth Cricket to be inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame next fall, joining Ron Schultz, Arnie Skrukrud, Bob Miller, Gwen Hoekstra, Rick Storlie, Steve Wilhelm, Jan Zimmerman and Strasburg. • His 445 wins at the helm of his prior stop in Gilmanton and Fall Creek place him among the top 40 coaches in Wisconsin girls basketball history. He is one of four Fall Creek coaches (Skrukrud, Schultz and Storlie) to reach 400 career wins in high school basketball. Martzke led the Fall Creek girls to their 11th trip to the state tournament in 2015, where they came up just short in the WIAA Division 4 championship game.
