- This follows the successful AI Action Summit held in Paris, which the two leaders co-chaired in February 2025.
- The visit will provide an opportunity for discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Indian officials to reinforce the strong India-France Strategic Partnership, in line with the “Horizon 2047 Roadmap”.
- The ‘Horizon 2047 Roadmap’ is meant to set the course for the bilateral relationship up to 2047, which will celebrate the centenary of India’s independence, the centenary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries and 50 years of the strategic partnership.
- The sources said discussions between the two leaders are expected to cover ongoing bilateral initiatives in various sectors, including Security and Defence, continuation of the existing Defence industrial roadmaps and cooperation on advanced technologies.
- The two countries plan to inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation in March.
