- The GHSA then appealed that ruling to Georgia's Court of Appeals, but with no decision, yet, in that case and a tight playoff window with the state championship dates fast approaching, the governing body relented, allowing the game to be played Friday night. The winner will advance to meet the Rome [GA] Wolves next Thursday, December 11, in another game that was pushed back to the delays. The game between Gainesville and Langston Hughes will kick off at 7 p. m.
