Published - January 10, 2026 08:21 pm IST - HYDERABAD The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has removed 52 abandoned vehicles and transported 3,945 metric tonnes (MT) of additional waste during an ongoing Special Sanitation Drive conducted across the city over the last 11 days. The drive, covering all 300 wards within GHMC limits, involved sanitation operations at 2,526 locations, including roads, footpaths, flyovers, foot overbridges, garbage-vulnerable points and parks. The initiative is aimed at improving cleanliness, addressing traffic obstructions and enhancing public safety.
