GHMC removes 52 abandoned vehicles and clears 3,945 metric tonnes of waste in city-wide sanitation drive

• GHMC teams, with support from the Traffic Police where required, cleared long-abandoned and scrap vehicles from public spaces, where they were contributing to congestion, safety concerns and unhygienic conditions.
• As part of the sanitation effort, the civic body transported 2,910 metric tonnes of solid waste and 1,035 metric tonnes of construction and demolition debris, taking the total additional waste cleared during the period to 3,945 metric tonnes.
