Girls basketball: Small, quick BOLD Warriors have lofty goals

Story byWest Central Tribune, Willmar, Minn. Michael Lyne, West Central Tribune, Willmar, Minn. Fri, December 5, 2025 at 11:37 PM UTC·2 min readDec. 5—OLIVIA — Although the BOLD girls basketball team graduated an impactful class of athletes, head coach Brian Kingery believes he has the tools to take another crack at the Section 2A title. Kingery, whose team fell in the section championship to Sleepy Eye Saint Mary's in March, has nearly all of his contributors back from a season when the Warriors went 20-10 overall, including a 6-6 record in the West Central Conference. He will be assisted by Cathy Helin. Layla Pfarr and Peyton Sander are two other graduates who played significant roles. Pfarr made 66 three-pointers and averaged 9.9 points per game.
