Currently, they sit as the No. 7 seed in the NFC, but that could change depending on this weekend’s slate of games. Still, they control their own destiny with four games left, with 10 or 11 wins looking like enough to make the playoffs in the crowded conference. AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThey’re right in the middle of a tight NFC West race, as the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams are both 9-3, while the 49ers stand just a half-game back. When it comes to San Francisco’s season, it has managed to overcome some serious injuries to win some big games, while taking advantage of an easier schedule, as seven of their nine wins are against non-playoff teams (the two others being the Rams and the Seahawks). While the injuries have potentially dampened the ceiling of the team this season, they’ve still proved to be a tough team to beat.
