H.S. SWIMMING: Schuylkill Haven’s Miller, Stauffer working to get back to states

• She also placed first in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:04.03 on Thursday. Miller joined in the fun Thursday when he placed first in the 100-yard freestyle in 50.86 seconds, as well as first in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:04.58.
• Miller has acknowledged the butterfly and breaststroke swims are his favorite and he’s been able to build up his sprinting time this season.“I excel most in the sprint events like the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard freestyle because I like to sprint and I don’t like to do a lot of freestyle,” Miller said.
• “It’s been fun hyping up the team for the relays.”Thursday’s meet was good preparation for the postseason, as Blue Mountain’s boys have won eight straight Schuylkill League team championships.
