India and Qatar strengthen ties through NDWBF

Key Highlights

• Commenting on the participation as Guest of Honour Country at the New Delhi World Book Fair, Mohammed Hassan Jabir Al-Jabir, Ambassador of Qatar to India State of Qatar to India, said, “Qatar’s participation in the NDWBF reflects its steadfast commitment to supporting cultural, intellectual dialogue and exchange of knowledge between the Arab world and Republic of India.
• The two ancient civilisations are united by rich history, legacy and a diverse cultural heritage.” National Book Trust director Yuvraj Malik said that the participation of Qatar is not just about books and publications from the Arab world, but about the coming together of history, culture and civilisation.
• “Importantly, people to people dialogue through literary and cultural exchange will also be there where idea synthesis will take place.
• These are slow but concrete steps to build country-to-country relationship,” he said.
• National Book Trust will collaborate an integrated talk with Qatar in the NDWBF.
