The governing body said it would announce in due course when the 1,812-kilometre race at the Lusail International Circuit, north of the capital Doha, could be rescheduled in the second half of the season. The championship will now begin with what had originally been the second race of the season, the Six Hours of Imola, set to take place from April 17-19 in Italy's Emilia-Romagna region.
