JU clinches overall title at 3rd Chancellor’s Trophy 2025-26

Key Highlights

• Dr Neeraj Sharma, Registrar, University of Jammu, was the chief guest at valedictory function, with Dr Dharminder Magotra, Dr Vinod Bakshi and Dr GM Lone as guests of honour.
• About 800 players participated, as reported by Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports.
• In Table Tennis (Men), Cluster University of Srinagar secured third place by defeating Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra by 3-1, while University of Jammu clinched the title with a convincing 3-0 win over Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Awantipura in the final.
• The final day results in Badminton (Women), University of Jammu dominated the final and defeated Cluster University of Jammu by 2-0 to lift the trophy.
• The Kabaddi (Men) final witnessed a closely fought contest, where Cluster University of Jammu edged past University of Jammu by a narrow margin of one point to claim the championship.
