A three-member committee constituted by the Lok Sabha began its inquiry and sent an official communication to Justice Varma in connection with the burnt piles of cash recovered from his residence in March, nearly four months after the Lok Sabha committee was set up. The committee comprises Supreme Court judge Justice Aravind Kumar, Chief Justice of the Madras High Court Manindra Mohan Shrivastava, and senior advocate BV Acharya.
