Burke has had a close relationship with new head coach Will Stein dating back to their time together at Louisville. The Lexington native and former Louisville QB spent the last three seasons running the Roadrunners’ offense. Burke’s offense was top 25 in the nation in points per game (33.8) and explosive plays during the 2025 season. AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementWhen the news broke that Stein was taking over at the helm for the Wildcats, there were reports that Burke was joining the staff, but it wasn’t said what exact job he was taking. Burke and Stein were teammates at Louisville before coaching together at UTSA from 2020-22. Burke has a great resume as he departs San Antonio for Lexington.
