It's clear that West senior Will Kegley has each of those mentioned qualities in spades. AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementA highly-skilled and athletic 6-3 senior who plays larger than his frame and who continues to reach new heights with his game, Kegley scored 20 points against Waverly, hitting the 1,000-point mark for his high school career with a turnaround jumper with 3:59 to play in the third quarter in West's 51-44 victory over Waverly Friday evening at Portsmouth West High School. A major piece to a West Senators' boys basketball program that sits a strong 13-6 overall and is just one game back of the SOC III conference lead with its biggest contest of the regular season coming up with a home date against Wheelersburg (11-5, 6-2 SOC III), Kegley's simply thankful for the teammates and coaching staff that has not only allowed him to become a newly-minted 1,000-point scorer, but has put the Senators, as a group, squarely in contention to contend for a SOC III Championship."It means everything," Kegley said. "Without their help, I couldn't do anything. My teammates get me the ball and trust me to do the right things with the ball.
