Published - January 20, 2026 08:20 pm IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM The State government has laid out an ambitious roadmap for climate action, biodiversity conservation and disaster preparedness in Kerala In his policy address delivered at the Assembly on Tuesday, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar said the government would formulate a pathway to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and launch an online climate literacy platform this year. As part of its environmental commitments, the State will also propose four additional wetlands for designation under the Ramsar Convention. Moreover, the Climate Change Adaptation Mission will initiate a World Bank-backed climate dialogue series and promote Every Child a Scientist and Artist programme to foster scientific temper and creativity among students.
