He needed only 37 seconds to stop Kolton England, with fans online praising the performance as ‘phenomenal’ and ‘classic Khabib style’. The hype online quickly built up after his fight. One fan wrote: “If Khabib says future star, you might as well start learning about him now.”Another said: “They always said this guy is the next big thing, he did not disappoint.”There were even comparisons being made between Amru and Usman, with some fans claiming that Magomedov is already better than several UFC fighters. And there is constant speculation about whether Usman will eventually make the jump to the UFC and add to his family’s legacy at 155 pounds. If that happens, Amru could well step into Usman’s place at the top of the division. Both fighters are already highly respected in their divisions, so it would not be surprising if Nurmagomedov’s team ended up holding lightweight titles in both organisations at the same time.
