Fletcher Mackel of WDSU reported on Thursday afternoon that "all signs point" towards Tigers defensive coordinator Blake Baker becoming the next head coach of the Tulane Green Wave. It seems like all but official. News had come out that Baker had recently interviewed for both this position and the Memphis Tigers opening. The Green Wave always seemed like the most likely option for the 43-year-old coach, as it is his alma mater and helps him remain in-state. He has coached in Louisiana for most of the last decade, and his wife is from Mandeville, so this seems like the best spot for him.
