Updated - February 24, 2026 08:25 pm IST - Thiruvananthapuram Malabar Cancer Centre’s (MCC) initiative, “AI Oncology Agent for Evidence-based Summaries, Guideline Support, and Clinical Trial Matching,” which is designed to rapidly analyse patient treatment data and support clinicians in making precise, evidence-based decisions, has earned national recognition at the just-concluded India AI Summit 2026. The project was selected for the prestigious ’Catch Grant 2026’, jointly instituted by the India AI National Cancer Grid (NCG) and the Koita Centre for Digital Oncology (KCDO), a statement issued by the office of the Health Minister, said. The project, presented by Wellytics Health and Wellness Solutions, in collaboration with MCC’s incubation centre MIINT (Malabar Cancer Centre Incubation Innovation Nest), was ranked among the top 10 projects nation-wide, the statement said.
