Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey appeared on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday and pushed back hard against any idea of President Donald Trump sending the military into Minnesota. Frey told moderator Kristen Welker that using the Insurrection Act to bring in federal troops would be "a shocking step." He pointed to recent city numbers showing drops in several types of crime over the past 28 days, including vandalism, theft, and weapons offenses."We don’t need more federal agents to keep people safe. We are safe," Frey said.
