MSSU softball logs win over Southeastern Oklahoma State, falls to Drury

Key Highlights

• Dillon landed herself in scoring position after straight steals of second and third. MSSU (6-1, and ranked 24th nationally) increased its lead to 2-0, courtesy of a sacrifice grounder by Carsen Tinkler that plated Nuckolls.
• Nuckolls also reached third after two straight steals. The Storm rallied to take the lead with three runs in the top of the third frame.
• Iliana Olivares drove in Keegan Rowland with a single to left field, and Emily Simmons brought Olivares across the plate with a two-run bomb over the left field fence that gave Southeastern a 3-2 lead. The Lions wasted no time in responding, putting up four runs in the bottom of the inning.
• Dillon scored on a Katie Gray double to left field to tie the game at 3 and Tinkler smashed a two-run homer over the left field fence that scored Gray and gave the Lions a 5-3 lead.
