Mysuru Central Railway workshop bags Efficiency Shield

Key Highlights

• The workshop has also significantly enhanced coach availability for traffic operations by supplying 331 sets of SS1 bogies and 426.5 sets of IOH bogies to various divisions of South Western Railway, said the statement.
• These efforts have played a vital role in reducing coach ineffectiveness across the railway network, it added.
• “Further demonstrating its growing technical expertise, Mysuru Central Workshop successfully executed complex repairs on severely corroded LHB coaches, ensuring improved safety, reliability, and passenger comfort,” the statement said and added that the Efficiency Shield was conferred in recognition of these outstanding achievements.
• The award was presented by the general manager, South Western Railway, to Mr V. K.
• Chadha, chief workshop manager, during the Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar ceremony held at Chalukya Railway Institute, Hubballi, on January 20, in the presence of senior railway officers.
