The other three fanbases in the NFC East (Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants) celebrated. It's not like Washington, Dallas, or New York would root for Philadelphia anyway, but it's especially pleasing to the other fanbases when Eagles coach Nick Sirianni is served some humble pie. Every time Sirianni suffers an embarrassing moment or loss, this meme comes back to haunt him. For Washington fans in particular, it's personal. In 2022, when Sirianni was in his second season as an NFL head coach, he wore the jersey of Eagles great Mike Quick after the Eagles defeated the Commanders in Washington. It wasn't the jersey that upset Washington fans; it was his dismissal of two of the greatest NFL players ever, who happened to be Washington legends.
