Punjab: Woman dies, husband seriously injured as their scooter hit trolley

Sangrur, Jan 21 (UNI) A woman died on the spot and her husband was seriously injured after a scooter they were travelling on rammed into a trolley loaded with bricks on the Patran–Jind National Highway today. The couple was travelling to Sangrur on a scooter when they suddenly hit a trolley loaded with bricks. In the accident, the woman, identified as Mamta Rani, was crushed under the rear tyre of the trolley and died on the spot while her husband, Mangat Rai, was seriously injured.
