Rakesh Aggarwal Appointed Director General Of NIA

Rakesh Aggarwal has been appointed as the Director General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, following the premature repatriation of the previous DG, Sadanand Vasant Date. Aggarwal, a 1994-batch IPS officer from the Himachal Pradesh cadre, will serve in this position until August 31, 2028.
