According to NFL. com insider Ian Rapoport, he is reporting that “Marcus Freeman still looms large in the NFL carousel.” He mentioned that teams will go through the process without interviewing the current Irish head coach, and still could come to the conclusion that he’s the right fit for the job. AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementRapoport didn’t name any specifics teams that will make their play for Freeman, but it looks like the smoke to the NFL will continue until all hires have been made. Hopefully he keeps to his word and will be leading Notre Dame this coming fall.
