While the transfer portal officially closed on Friday to new entrants, teams can still sign players who have already entered, and on Sunday CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz reported that the Utes landed a commitment from Weber State tight end Noah Bennee. AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe move reunites Bennee, who was a tight end at Utah for three years prior to two seasons at Weber State, with his brother Jackson, who plays defensive back for the Utes. Noah Bennee earned a spot on the All-Big Sky second team after a 2025 season that saw him haul in 23 catches for 264 yards for the Wildcats. He did not play in his first two seasons at Utah and then appeared in six games in his third season in 2023.
- He tallied six catches for 44 yards with a touchdown in his first season at Weber State. The addition of Bennee helps strengthen a Utes tight end room that is losing Dallen Bentley to graduation. Redshirt freshman Hunter Andrews, who was injured last season, is expected to be Utah’s TE1, but Bennee will instantly slot in as a veteran in a room comprised of underclassmen.
