Describing the situation as lawless, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said the Caribbean Sea was witnessing a revival of practices long thought obsolete, specifically the seizure of others’ property. Zakharova said Moscow consistently supports efforts to reduce tensions and voiced hope that Trump’s pragmatism and rational judgment would lead to mutually acceptable solutions reached in line with international law, helping prevent a disastrous outcome.
