Two school records were set in the girls’ meet, with Eve Liberty setting a new time in the 55m dash at 7.40, and Libby Wynnik doing the same in the 55m hurdles at 9.43. AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementOverall for the girls, the Spartans won seven of the 15 events ran. Sarah Lavigne and Sienna Boulds joined the Saranac win festivities winning the 300m and 600m events, respectively. The four girls all doubled in wins, as they comprised the 4x400 relay team, which is currently the fourth-ranked team in New York for Division II. Liberty, in fact, tripled as she was the anchor on the 4x200. Saranac’s Hannah Hamel rounded out the Spartan wins, winning the triple jump at a distance of 28 feet and 9 inches. Plattsburgh’s Abigail McLean doubled on the day, winning the 1000m and 1500m. Beekmantown won three events on the day,with Emily Marro winning the 3000m in 11:37.80 and Kylie Bishop winning the weight throw. The Eagles also placed first in the 4x800 relay. AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementPeru’s Maggie Garrow, Ti’s Belle Burroughs and Saranac Lake’s Gracen Foster all earned victories for their teams. Garrow won the high jump, Burroughs the long jump and Foster the shot put. On the boys’ side, while Saranac won the meet with 138 points, it only won three events: the 1000m, 4x200 and 4x800. The Spartan’s Owen Dingman would double on the day as he won the 1000m and was on the winning 4x800 relay team. Peru gained four wins as Oliver Lancto doubled in the high jump and triple jump.
