McMillen (9-0) earned his UFC contract on Season 8 of Dana White’s Contender Series, where he defeated David Mgoyan via majority decision in a gritty, back-and-forth fight. The bout took a heavy toll on McMillen, who was transported to the hospital immediately afterward — a rare occurrence for a fighter who had previously steamrolled opponents with ruthless efficiency. Prior to his Contender Series appearance, the 28-year-old carried a perfect finish rate, stopping all eight of his previous opponents — all in the first round. He’s spent several years training alongside former UFC Bantamweight champion O’Malley, developing under one of the division’s most dynamic strikers. Standing across from him will be Zecchini (11-4), who returns to action following a nearly three-year layoff.
