Key Highlights
- Before his appointment to the ITBP, Shri Kapur held several key positions in his parent cadre of Haryana.
- These included Director General of Police and Head of the Police Force, Director General of the State Anti-Corruption Bureau, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the two Haryana power distribution companies Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN)—as well as Chief of the Criminal Investigation Department and Head of the State Crime Branch.
- With a distinguished career spanning over 35 years, Shri Kapur has also served on international and central deputations, including with the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
- In recognition of his exemplary service, he has been awarded the United Nations Peacekeeping Medal with Bar, the Police Medal for Meritorious Service, and the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
