- Raghavendra, Shivamogga MP, held a meeting with district-level officers and reviewed the progress of development works, including railway and road-widening projects, here on January 3.
- The MP reviewed the progress of the four-lane of NH 206 (Tumakuru – Shivamogga – Honnavar), the railway overbridge at Hosur and Talaguppa, the four-lane road connecting Nellisara Camp to Tirthahalli (NH 169), and the bridge at Bikkodi on Byndoor-Ranebennur Road (NH 766C).
- He also reviewed the progress of the four-lane road in Sagar Town (NH 206) and the bypass for Shikaripur town.
- Besides these, the MP suggested the officers take up the construction of skywalks at major points in the city where pedestrians struggle to cross the road owing to heavy traffic.
- Regarding the railway line connecting Shivamogga and Ranebennur via Shikaripur, the MP said that the acquisition of land between Shivamogga and Shikaripur had been completed.
