Citing the reconstruction of the Somnath Temple despite repeated attempts to destroy it over the centuries, Shah emphasised those who destroyed the shrine have today faded without a trace, but the magnificent place of worship stands thousands of years later with even greater grandeur. Those who attacked the temple eventually disappeared, but the shrine still stands proudly at the same place on the seashore in Gujarat’s Gir Somnath district, the BJP leader pointed out.
