- Yadav Alleges BJP ‘Jumla’ on Caste Census Yadav on his X platform said the current census notification deliberately omits a column for caste, arguing this proves the BJP’s talk of a caste census is merely a “jumla”.
- He claimed a strategic denial of rights: “If there is no counting of castes, there will be no demographic basis to provide proportional reservation and rights to the people.” Conspiracy Against PDA Communities Yadav described the BJP’s refusal to conduct a caste census as a conspiracy against the PDA society, referring to Pichhda or Backwards, Dalit, and Alpsankhyak or Minority communities.
- He added that BJP supporters now feel betrayed: “Those who trusted the BJP feel cheated and insulted, particularly BJP leaders and workers who previously promised their communities that a caste census would take place but now cannot show their faces.” Census 2027 Questions Highlighted Yadav pointed to the recently released Phase I questionnaire for Census 2027, which covers household and housing details, to flag the absence of caste-specific data.
- He argued that while the census collects extensive information on household size, housing materials, utilities, and social category of the head of the household, it fails to record caste systematically, reinforcing his claim that the BJP is avoiding a true caste count.
- BJP Characterised as ‘Deceitful’ The Samajwadi Party leader labelled the BJP as “Chhaljivi” (deceitful) and “Vachan-Vimukhi” (one who turns away from their word), asserting the party’s name has become synonymous with “betrayal”.
