On Thursday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Lions requested an interview with Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, who has received interest from multiple teams throughout the coaching carousel. The Lions parted ways with their offensive coordinator, John Morton, after just one season. In their search to replace him, Detroit has done their due diligence, interviewing New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, Baltimore Ravens quarterbacks coach Tee Martin, and former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, with Smith set to be the next.
