New Delhi, Jan 14 (UNI) The Indian Stock markets ended lower in a volatile session today, with the BSE Sensex falling by 244.98 points or 0.29 per cent to 83,382.71 and the NSE Nifty declining by 66.70 points or 0.26 pc to 25,665.60. The Mid-cap and Small-cap segments also outperformed as the BSE Mid-cap and Small-cap indices closed the day 0.16 pc and 0.25 pc higher, respectively. Among the sectors, those recorded gains were Nifty Metal up by 2.70 pc and PSU Bank up by 2.13 pc.
