Sub-Jr Taekwondo team screened, flagged off for National C’ship

Key Highlights

• The screening and flag-off ceremony was conducted in the presence of Iqbal Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, J&K Sports Council, Jammu, who interacted with the players and appreciated their dedication, discipline and preparation.
• He extended best wishes to the contingent for a commendable performance at the national level.
• The event was also attended by Anuj Sharma, Joint Secretary, J&K Taekwondo Association and Atul Pangotra, International Taekwondo Player and Coach, who motivated the young athletes to represent Jammu and Kashmir with pride and sportsmanship.
• The boys’ team includes Shivaay Gupta, Abhay Partap, Divyansh Khametra, Yakshit Thakur, Mirgesh Spolia, Samrat Singh, Syed Kashif Hussain, Rehaan Gupta and Tajdeep Singh, while the girls’ team comprises Rudrakshi, Saavi Sharma, Pranshi Sharma, Syed Imrat Jaan, Kiana Upadhyaya and Namanya Varma.
• The team will be accompanied by Amit Kumar, Syed Ashiq Husain and Kausar Jaan as coaches and managers.
