Nobody knows what the rules are, and even if there are any rules at this point. At this point, teams are adding players left and right, even players who have played in the NBA Summer League like new Baylor addition James Nnaji or players who have played in the G-League like new BYU addition Abdullah Ahmed. Personally, I’d love to see Kahlil Whitney get a re-do of his Kentucky career. Whitney seems like a likable guy who had a tough time during his stint in Lexington, but it was really cool to see the fans embrace him when he came back to play for La Familia in TBT. Obviously, this is all very unlikely but the prospect of Kentucky adding a player this season probably isn’t as crazy as some might think.
