Tamil Nadu government extends tenure of social justice monitoring committee by two years

Updated - January 16, 2026 08:33 pm IST - CHENNAI The State government has recently extended, by two more years, the tenure of a committee to monitor the implementation of affirmative action in education and employment. Constituted in December 2021, the panel — Social Justice Monitoring Committee — was given its first extension in November 2023. The second extension, for another two years, was provided through an order issued in the first week of January.
